Bay Hill Florist OrlandoSpring is right around the corner, and here at Bay Hill Florist in Orlando we’re celebrating with flowers. There are a flower varieties that come available this time of year that are worth highlighting. One of our favorites this time of year is the Florida snapdragon. They are locally-grown, and have perkier blooms and more vibrant colors than their imported counterparts. We also like that they’re greener: significantly less fuel is used to transport them to our shop, and they support local farmers. Typically we have yellow, pink, burgundy and white in stock–we often have variegated pink and orange, too.

Bay Hill Florist OrlandoTulips are another spring favorite. While they don’t last as long as other flowers we carry, there is something wonderful about delicate, ephemeral tulips. Maybe it’s that they are available for such a short time each year, or that they are one of spring’s first flowers to bloom, along with daffodils and other early spring bulbs. We get our tulips from Holland, and the variety we carry costs a little more than grocery store flowers, but boy are they worth it. The large size of the flower and the range of color options makes them a customer favorite.
